HEAD CHEF 

Petersfield Golf Club is a welcoming and well-established Members Golf Club with a busy year round calendar of golf, social events and external functions. We are seeking a skilled Head Chef to lead our culinary team and work with all departments at the Club to deliver a first-class experience for our members and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality and safety, and managing kitchen operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production in the kitchen
• Lead a team of culinary staff, providing guidance and training as required and fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Maintaining high-quality standards and consistency in the catering offering
• Develop and deliver menus for daily service, club matches and a variety of functions and events ensuring, ensuring the use of fresh seasonal produce and high quality presentation
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards at all times
• Manage inventory, ordering and stock control
• Collaborate with management to develop cost effective strategies
• Assist in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests by maintaining high standards of hospitality and service

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a professional kitchen environment
• Able to deliver menu choices that meet varying tastes and price points
• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
• Financially astute and confident, analysing and managing kitchen costs and margins
• Excellent communication skills to effectively lead the team and collaborate with all departments
• Relevant culinary qualifications
