Membership

Petersfield Golf Club is a members club, owned by its members.

Currently there are over 600 members made up of full playing members, five day members, Intermediates and Juniors. In addition we have Social members who use our fine club house facilities for socialising, eating out and playing bridge etc.

The club was founded in 1892 and until 1997 was based on the Heath in Petersfield. The Adhurst course at Tankerdale Lane was built in 1995, with full play commencing on 17th March 1997. The opening of the newly built clubhouse followed shortly afterwards. We are now firmly established in our new surroundings and with its abundance of trees and hedgerows it does give the appearance of, and indeed plays as, a very mature golf course.

Other Membership Categories

For those competitive minded golfers there are numerous competitions for Men and Ladies. Mixed golf is very popular and we have many mixed competitions and matches, which are social as well as competitive. We also play friendly matches against other clubs, which always involve a meal afterwards, making them very pleasant and enjoyable occasions. On the social side the club is very active and some excellent evenings are held in our spacious and airy clubhouse. Added to this we have reciprocal arrangements with numerous other clubs, which enable members to play them (mid-week) without paying a green fee.

We have a resident PGA qualified Professional, Ben Wall, who employs two assistants and offers comprehensive teaching and golf shop facilities. Ben is able to supply virtually anything in the golf line at competitive prices.
